Bidvest and the Community

 

Bidvest is proud to support Project K, a Foundation for Youth Development programme   that builds confidence in and inspires 14-15 year olds to maximise their full potential.

Bidvest has kicked started what is going to be a long term relationship with the donation of $13500 as well as a generous $2000 donated from the social club.  The investment has enabled Foundation for Youth Development to support the startup of Project Kin Marlborough (based out of Blenheim).  All year 10 students from Marlborough Boys College and Marlborough Girls College underwent the selection process and six students were chosen from each school for a sought after place on the programme, based on their realised, yet untapped potential for excellence.

During September, they went on a three week wilderness adventure where they learnt teamwork, self reliance and many other key personal skills to see them through life.  They are currently partaking in a community challenge that encourages them to utilise the skills they learnt in the wilderness in exploring and giving back to the community.
