Bidvest comprises four divisions; Foodservice, Fresh, Butchery and Logistics, with a single IT infrastructure network linking the distribution of 20,000+ products to 15,000 customers:

Working collaboratively with Foodservice teams, Fresh supplies high quality wholesale fresh fruit and vegetables. For the customers convenience the Fresh division also processes and packs prepared produce in their modern food factory for supply through Bidvest distribution centres. New to Bidvest in 2011, the Bidvest Butchery manufactures small goods and processes all cuts of meat required in the foodservice industry. Product is purchased direct from the farmer, processed and delivered to customers through Bidvest distribution centres. Quality is monitored all the way – paddock to plate.
Two strategically located distribution centres in Auckland and Christchurch provide the necessary infrastructure to import, store and redistribute to Bidvest distribution centres. In addition, they provide a logistics service to leading QSR customers nationally.
Our extensive range has been developed to meet customer demand and is being continually adjusted to keep pace with changing trends. We are committed to offering products of the highest quality, delivered on time, in full, at competitive prices.
Considered the “one-stop supply solution”, we provide customers with access to all major national brands as well as selectively developed private label products, known as Bidbrands—including Smart Choice, Seafrost, Alfina’s and Southern Range. Bidbrands are designed to suit our customers’ needs meeting quality, quantity and price requirements.

Our distribution centres
All of the Bidvest distribution centres are multi temperature facilities with HACCP accredited food safety programmes. The 300+ trucks that make up the delivery fleet are portioned to ambient, chilled and frozen products ensuring integrity throughout the supply chain.
Technology plays a key role in providing an efficient service to customers through ‘Bidvest direct’, our ebusiness portal. Bidvest direct provides many tools to help customers manage their food supply and cost. These tools include ordering online, sales reports, copies of invoices, menu planning and management and many more. Bidvest direct can be accessed from your computer or iphone through a specially designed application.
Customers can consolidate their invoicing across each division, on a regular basis reducing time consuming paperwork and complexity.
Loyalty is rewarded through our Bidclub programme. As customers purchase products they earn Bidclub points that can be redeemed for a multitude of business or personal vouchers. Bidclub operates all year round providing freedom and flexibility.

Where we started
Bidvest began in New Zealand through the acquisition of Crean Foodservice in April 2000. Since 2000, the business has grown rapidly and made further regional acquisitions to form what is now the largest specialist foodservice distributor in New Zealand and the only company that can offer true national distribution service to multi site customers.
